Gender Affirming Care
Spectra Health is one of the few clinics in Fort Worth to specialize in adult Gender-Affirming Hormone Therapy for their Direct Primary Care patients.
Both Dr. Arce and Dr. Mitchell are well-versed with hormone therapy and other aspects of gender-affirming care. Furthermore, our clinic is an absolute safe-space for all members of the LGBTQ community, and rest-assured that you will be well-respected by all of the clinic’s personnel.
How Our Treatment Works
Treatment starts with an intake appointment, where your goals of care are discussed, as well as potential treatment regimens. For the first year, you will need at least one appointment every three months to check your levels (though feel free to book additional appointments), as well as to discuss how you’re feeling about your care.
After the first year, if your levels have been stable, and you are happy with the regimen you are on, we can check your hormone level every 6 months. It IS important that you get your hormones checked regularly, as one’s physiology changes as one ages, and adjustments to your doses may be necessary.
Dr. Arce and Dr. Mitchell are committed to finding a regimen that both works for you, and that you are most happy with. From personal experience, they understand that this is an enormous undertaking, and will afford the utmost attention when it comes to your care.
